• About Mezita

    Akcelep was established for the purpose of production and export of foods ready to consume in the food industry of Turkey in 2000. Akcelep has one of the most modern production facilities of the sector and has a strategic investment location, where we can easily reach to all inputs we need, in Ulukent Organized Industrial Zone of a port city like Izmir. In our factory, equipped with high technology, the production of a wide range of products over 200 consisting of canned foods, roasted products, and various sauces are carried out in international standards and quality.

    Akcelep aimed to create its own brand in the exports of healthy and delicious agricultural products of Aegean and Mediterranean fields, our lands, for the journey that started in 2000. In 2012 the company bought the MEZITA recognized brand in the domestic market and Akcelep created trademark as MEZITA brand. After this brand was registered in the British Chambers of Commerce (UK), first exported to the UK with the Mezita brand. Export to Germany, Italy, United Arab Emirates, and Pakistan are continuing under the Mezita brand.

    We have an environmentally friendly policy as a company and we do not avoid any cooperation with respect to this policy. In order to ensure the sustainability of the safe food production for human health, we adopt quality as our life philosophy. The quality management system established and followed in Akcelep was created in accordance with the requirements of BRC ver.7, IFS ver.6, BSC II, SEDEX and is applied to all processes from purchasing of materials in production facilities and warehouses to the shipment. We are constantly renewing with the changing production Technologies.

    Mezita will continue to be a leading brand in the food sector and the world market with its short, medium and long-term strategic investments.

      2007
      Ersin Celep Domestic and Foreign Trade Company was established.
      2008
      Pasteurization line was enlarged, new area 1100 m².
      2009
      Jar production line has seperated from the tin line.
      Metal detector investment has been made.
      2010
      Grill line and roasting machine investment have been made.

      Certified management and production quality with BRC and IFS accreditation.
      2012
      Registered in the British Chamber of Commerce in the UK and trademark has been made Mezita.
      2013
      Sauce line at 480ml and 980ml has established.
      Participated in the Anuga fair in Germany.
      2014
      Roasting production area was enlarged.
      2015
      Participated in the Tutto food fair in Italy.
      Has taken the vegan certificate.
      2016
      Certified management and production quality with Kosher and SEDEX certification.
      2017
      Sauce line has seperated with a new building and new area for sauce line is 750 m².
      Has taken the organic certificate for red roasted pepper and sun dried tomato products.
      2018
      Certified management and production quality with FSMA (a module as BRC).
      Akcelep and Mezita web sites have been renewed.
      Pot production has been started and pot machinery investment was made.

  • Lamb Chops With Mezita Mint Sauce

    1 lb Top Round cut of Lamb
    2 cloves of Garlic, crushed
    2 tablespoons Lemon Zest
    1 teaspoon Salt
    1/2 teaspoon Pepper
    2 tablespoons Olive Oil
    1 lb Baby Potatoes
    5 Cipollini Onions
    Mezita Mint Sauce


    1. Heat your oven to 400 degrees. While the oven is heating up, chop the onions. Then slice the baby potatoes in half. Place the onions and potatoes in a roasting pan and drizzle 1 tablespoons of olive oil over, and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper. Stir to evenly coat the potatoes and onions and arrange in the roasting pan leaving a space in the middle for the lamb.
    2. Next combine the garlic, lemon zest, and remaining salt, pepper, and olive oil in a small bowl. Then use your hands to spread this mixture all over the lamb, and place the lamb in the middle of the roasting pan.
    3. Place the lamb and potatoes in the oven and let cook for 30 minutes. Then reduce the heat to 350 degrees and cook for another 45 minutes to 60 minutes.
    4. Once the lamb reaches your desired level of doneness, remove it from the pan and let it rest. The potatoes will be soft, but not crispy.
    5. Carve lamb, top with the Mezita mint sauce and serve with the potatoes.
  • Red Roasted Pepper Bruschetta

    500cc Mezita red roasted pepper
    20 baguettes slices
    1/2 tablespoons olive oil
    1/2 tablespoons sliced fresh basil
    3 large garlic cloves, minced
    3 garlic cloves, halved


    1. Preheat the oven to 375˚F. Arrange the bread on a cookie sheet. Scoop 1 teaspoon olive oil out of the 1/4 cup. Drizzle on a piece of bread.
    2. Bake until golden brown. This should take about 4 minutes. Take the bread out of the oven.
    3. Cut each clove of garlic in half. Rub the cut side all over the top, bottom, and crust of the toasted bread.
    4. Place Mezita red roasted peppers, parsley, cheese, 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, and pepper in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Mix well.
    5. Spoon onto toast. Arrange and serve.
  • Sun Dried Tomatoes Salad

    2 ounces feta, cubed
    320cc Mezita sun-dried tomatoes
    ¼ teaspoon dried basil
    ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
    ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
    3 tablespoons olive oil
    2 teaspoons lemon juice
    4 cups spring mix leafy greens
    Salt and pepper to taste

    1. Combine the cubed feta , Mezita sun-dried tomatoes, herbs, and 2/3 of the olive oil.
    2. Allow the feta to marinate while you wash and prep your greens and almonds, about five minutes.
    3. Drizzle the remaining olive oil and lemon juice over the greens then toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste!
  • Chicken Tortilla With Jalapeno


    3-4 chicken breasts, frozen or thawed
    8 ounces cream cheese
    ⅓ cup jarred Mezita sliced jalapeños
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon cumin
    16 taco-sized tortillas (I prefer flour but corn tortillas also work well)
    1½ cups shredded cheese

    1. Add chicken, ½ cup water, cream cheese, Mezita sliced green jalapeños, garlic powder, salt, and cumin to crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high 3-4 hours. (lesser times are for thawed chicken, greater times for frozen chicken)
    2. minutes before serving, preheat the oven to 425 and grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.
    3. Use two forks to shred chicken and stir it in with the other contents of the crockpot.
    4. Heat tortillas in the microwave for a few seconds to soften them up, this will make them easier to work with. Sprinkle cheese in the middle of each tortilla (just divide the cheese evenly between all of the tortillas).
    5. Top cheese with 2-3 tablespoons of shredded chicken mixture. Roll tortillas tightly into a log-shape taquito.
    6. Place taquitos on baking sheet and spray heavily with cooking spray. Bake 10-15 minutes until cheese is melty and tortillas begin to brown.
